Friends hang on through the ups and the downs

Someone who knows when you're lost and you're scared

And they're through the highs and the lows

Someone you can count on, someone who cares

Beside you wherever you'll go

Even when I feel lonely sometimes, I know out there, there're people who care a whole lot about me. Someone who'll feel like crying if I cry. Someone who'll laugh at me and with me. Someone who'll give me a hug when I need one.

Someone who'll force me to eat when I don't want to. Someone who'll cry if I go. Someone we sometimes fight with but no matter what it'll always turn out okay. Someone who'll be there even if they have something else to do.

Without them, it might have been so hard to be where I am right now. They make it everything easier to go through.

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.
